Rupanyup is an easy drive north-east of Horsham and sits squarely on the Wimmera Mallee tourist run. We are on the Wimmera Highway with a large parking area and room for coaches and caravans.
Self-drive up from Melbourne or across from Adelaide, or fold us into a Grampians and Silo Art Trail loop. Plenty of reviewers tell people not to drive past, and they are right.

How much does it cost to get in?
Adults are $15, and that includes tea, coffee and biscuits. Children are admitted free. School groups are $5 per student.
Do you have a seniors or group discount?
No, we do not run any discounts. Entry is $15 for adults however you come, and that includes tea, coffee and biscuits. Children are free and school groups are $5 per student.
Do you take card?
Yes, we take card, and cash is fine too.
When are you open?
Seven days a week, 9am to 4pm. We are closed on Christmas Day, and on ANZAC Day morning.
How long should I allow?
About two hours does it, including the sheds out the back. Plenty of people stay longer once they get talking, and most tell us they did not expect it to take that long.
Do I need to book?
Not for an ordinary visit. Just turn up during opening hours.

Is there parking for a caravan or a coach?
Yes. There is a large parking area with plenty of room for cars, caravans, coaches and buses, right at the front on the Wimmera Highway.
Is it suitable for a wheelchair or a walker?
Yes. The entrance is wheelchair and walker friendly, and the whole museum is on one level with level, easy walking throughout. There are no stairs between the display areas.
Are there toilets?
Yes, including an accessible one.
Will someone show us around?
Yes. One of our volunteers will walk you through, so you get the stories that go with the displays rather than just the displays.
Are you dog friendly?
Where we can, yes. Have a word with the volunteer at the desk when you arrive and we will sort something out.
Can we bring our own food?
You are welcome to. Tea, coffee and biscuits come with your entry either way, and light lunches can be arranged for booked groups.
Is there anything for the kids?
A fair bit. There are around 850 Tonka toys on the shelves, a room of toy fire engines and trucks, the recreated shops to walk through and the tractors out the back. Children are free, so it is an easy stop to make.
Can you do lunch for a group?
Yes, light lunches are available for booked groups. The reception room seats 40, and tea, coffee and biscuits come with entry regardless.

Is it just tractors?
No, and this is the one we get asked most. There are 92 tractors, and they are the last shed, not the first room.
Before you get to them there is a clothing collection of wedding dresses and ball gowns, a whole recreated street of shops, two family homes furnished to the 1920s and 1940s, and rooms of household pieces and collectables. Most visitors come for the machinery and leave talking about everything else.
